The trumpets provide the upper register of the traditional orchestra's brass section.

Advanced Soundware has produced three trumpet libraries for use with REALIZE. These instrument libraries were recorded 'in-situ' at 96 kHz/24-bit resolution with a multi-mic configuration specified by reknowned Hollywood recording/mixing engineer Steve Kempster.

The three trumpets were arranged as one row of three chairs, with the section leader in the center. This is optimized for orchestrations where a full triad is to be played with the highest note assigned to 1st Trumpet and the lowest note assigned to 3rd Trumpet, but can be arranged for any combination of trumpets and distributions of pitches.

TRUMPET 1:

  • Features the section leader and covers the broadest range of sampled pitches and articulations.
  • Favors the upper and lower ranges of sampled pitches.
  • Seated in the center chair of the row.

TRUMPET 2:

  • Covers a broad range of sampled pitches and articulations.
  • Favors the middle range of sampled pitches.
  • Seated to the left of Trumpet 1 (from the conductor’s POV.)

TRUMPET 3:

  • Covers a broad range of sampled pitches and articulations.
  • Favors the lower range of sampled pitches.
  • Seated to the right of Trumpet 1 (from the conductor’s POV.)
