Dynamics best practice:

• Set a dynamic level prior to your first note using a single CC11 event
• Avoid changing dynamics mid-note unless you actually want a hairpin
• If you start with a high CC11 and move lower, you will get a diminuendo
• If you start with a low CC11 and move higher, you will get a crescendo
• If you change directions at any point, you will get a bidirectional dynamic expression
• Be careful not to change direction during a crescendo or you will get a piano-forte-piano (pfp)
• Be careful not to change direction during a diminuendo or you will get a forte-piano-forte (fpf)
• You can edit the hairpins after import, using the GUI tools, if desired
