Here are the steps to create custom keyboard shortcuts in Cubase:
- Open Cubase and go to the Edit menu.
- Select Key Commands.
- In the Type in Key text box, press the key or key combination you want to use as a shortcut.
- In the Commands section, navigate to the action you want to assign a shortcut to.
- Click on the Assign button.
Cubase has a lot of default key commands, also known as keyboard shortcuts, that use modifier keys, some of which are different depending on the operating system1. When key commands with modifier keys are described in the manual, they are indicated with the Windows modifier key first, followed by the macOS modifier key and the key1. For example, Ctrl/Cmd - Z means: press Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on macOS, then press Z1.
