Can I play REALIZE live, like an instrument?

No, it doesn't work like that. Think of REALIZE as a studio orchestra waiting to perform your music for you. You hand it your notation (in the form of a Midi file with monophonic tracks for each instrument) and it generates a multi-track recording, which you can then further manipulate with our editing tools. You can also update your notation (overwrite your Midi file with changes) and those changes will automatically cause the recording to update itself accordingly.
